Im assuming its possible to turn a kinetic weapon into an elemental.
Has anyone switched the Nameless Midnight from kinetic to elemental?
You cannot. A kinetic weapon is only a kinetic weapon. Lala corrected my ignorance on this issue a few weeks back.

Thats right, i forgot.
When i used a legendary kinetic mod that was the only option even though I have several elemental mods too.
Many times in my sleepless Destiny Haze have I thought hey … then went…oh thats right can’t do it.
I have often thought it for that gun in particular myself balances those exotic and legendary spots perfectly for NF Raid etc but no cant be done bastards.
@koldfront_kraig - there is an elemental version of the Nameless Midnight. It’s called the Manannan SR4. You can get it fram Banshee (the Weapon Material Vendor), and it drops as a random legendary engram. From what I can tell in playing with this gun it handles exactly like the Nameless Midnight. Explosive rounds and all.

I dug a few Manannan’s out of my vault and gave them a try.
Good scout rifle but I don’t think it hits as hard as the Nameless Midnight.
A bit faster fire rate so that helps.
