It’s going to be awhile until we see the next Battlefield title. DICE and EA want to want to next generation hardware, or so they say. I guess BF5 was too much of a shit show game they decided to regroup.
The next Battlefield game is coming in either 2021 or early 2022, Electronic Arts announced during an investor call Tuesday. The next big game from EA DICE will ship during EA’s 2022 fiscal year — which runs from April 1, 2021, through March 31, 2022 — and EA will instead focus on another game, Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends , as its marquee shooter in 2020.
