Blizzard is packin’ the banhammer……and you don’t want to see the banhammer.
Nobody likes quitters, especially in Overwatch. Therefore, much of the Overwatch community has been buzzing in speculation about the punishments that will be dished out for quitting games in Competitive Play mode.
The Competitive Play mode, which is expected to launch sometime later this month, is currently undergoing a beta testing. From this beta testing, many leaks have come.
The latest leak comes from the big ol’ kids over at Reddit, who have divulged the penalties Blizzard will impose on those naughty few who repeatedly leave games in Competitive Play.
A season in Overwatch lasts two and half months, so repeat offenders will be looking at a lengthy timeout if they don’t heed Blizzard’s warning.
Good. Hopefully it wont count if its an accidental disconnect due to internet problems. People just need to learn to suck it up, take the loss, learn from mistakes, and git gud. Not just be a poor loser and leave a losing match.
Since XP has no effect on player benefits, that is not much of a punishment. Depending on how competitive play is, could prove to be an impact. Honestly though, they should use Halo style of only joining new games instead of in progress.
Learn to be a good sport and lose gracefully! Learn from your mistakes and get better! What happened to the world!!
but there really should be anyone backing out of Comp play since they should be limiting the 6 bastion teams and shit
