Overwatch's Halloween Terror Event Returns With Junkenstein's Revenge

Blizzard is known for Overwatch’s seasonal events, which always bring exclusive game modes, cosmetics and more to the first-person shooter. This spooky season, Halloween Terror has returned to Overwatch, bringing back the Junkenstein’s Revenge PvE brawl and last year’s seasonal gear along with more than 50 new seasonal items. Hopefully you’re not too scared to read the rest of the details.

Junkenstein’s Revenge has been improved upon from last year. Originally featuring only four selectable heroes (McCree, Hanzo, Ana and Soldier 76), players can now choose from an expanded pool of characters: Ana, Genji, Hanzo, McCree, Soldier: 76, Torbjorn, Widowmaker and Zenyatta. Players can now also see how long they can withstand the AI in Junkenstein’s Endless mode.

If you missed Junkenstein’s accompanying achievements last year, players have been able to earn at least Survived the Night and Four They Were during this year’s event. As of this writing, we don’t yet have anyone who has unlocked the other two achievements, but due to their difficulty, it’s not unusual. Not only that, but 2017 brings an additional four achievements for players to earn:

There are also new highlight intros and emotes. To see the full videos of each, check out Blizzard’s official event page for Halloween Terror. It’s all in the Halloween Terror Loot Box, which also includes another chance to get last Halloween’s items:

Celebrate the frightful season with a Halloween Terror Loot Box, filled with new skins, emotes, highlights, avatars, sprays, voice lines, and more. You can also purchase items you missed from last year’s event with credits for a discounted price. Over 140 cosmetic items are available, but don’t wait too long—these Loot Boxes will disappear in a puff of smoke before you know it.

Halloween Terror is live now in Overwatch and will run until November 1st.

The game mode is good once or twice. It’s a pretty long session. They changed a couple maps to be spooky as well. The skins this year are quite well done.
