Paladins Prepares to Leave Beta With Launch Celebration

Paladins: Champions of the Realm, which has been in testing on PC since 2015 and consoles since 2016, is about to leave beta. From the addition of more than 30 champions to a battle royale spinoff called Realm Royale, the free-to-play FPS has brought players a lot of content throughout alpha and beta. Developer Hi-Rez Studios is starting the celebration now before the official launch on May 8th.

To start off the festivities, all champions are unlocked until May 7th. Normally, champions must be unlocked with in-game currency or real money. Everyone who participated in the beta will also receive 200 crystals free. It might not sound like a lot, but Hi-Rez says more than 25 million people have tried out Paladins, which amounts to more than $200 million worth of crystals. Since Paladins doesn’t launch until May 8th, players still have time to try out the game and become eligible for the crystals in the meantime.

Lastly, anyone who logs in between the official May 8th launch and May 31st will receive a special beta participation avatar. Hi-Rez has also promised “contests, broadcasts, giveaways, videos, in-game events, and more” in the near future.

We need to get a team going in this again. I really liked this game.
