That PBUG is a dirty goddamned liar.
I have seen a few of these test. The results all pretty much say the same thing. All though I have seen the pan keep some small arms fire from going through. Distance matters as well. What gets me is they use the same pan for all guns. Once the first bullet goes through the integrity of the pan is done. They also could be using cheap pans. Most of them look like new pans. The old school cast iron pans are much thicker for the most part.
Regardless I wouldn’t count on it saving my life like it has a few times in PUBG.
Reusing the same pan was weak but that Kar 98K was going through it no matter what pan you used. The velocity of that round wasn’t getting stopped, new or old pan. I just liked the explosion at the end
I guess that’s why the 9mm went through it better than the 45. It’s a faster round.
