Playerunknown's Battlegrounds Announced for Xbox One and Xbox One X

Hunger Games-like shooter Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is coming to consoles this year. Microsoft announced during its E3 briefing today that the popular shooter is coming to Xbox One as a “console launch exclusive” in late 2017. That wording suggests it may also come to to PlayStation 4, though not until later, apparently. Those playing on Xbox One X will be able to enjoy 4K and HDR support.

I really am kinda shocked that they are aiming to release on Xbox this year. It’s awesome news but I am skeptical.

If it does and they give everyone access to Custom Games it will be the ultimate GRG clan night game. 100 player serves. Solos, Duos, and 4 player squads. In customs you can have 8 player squads. Currently the only people with access to custom games is streamers with large communities but it is something we could apply for and try to get if Xbox is the same as PC

Very exciting if they can make it happen

Wonder if this would be considered a “play anywhere” title…and if so would those that have it through steam get access or have to repurchase.

No. Play anywhere is first party titles only. Even if it was play anywhere you would have to buy the digital version from the xbox store to get access to play anywhere. So yes we would have to buy it again.

That being said they could still do cross play but that is up to PUBG devs developing it to do so.

Which will bring in the debate of KB&Mouse vs Controller.
