Hey guys. So I figured out how to easily record video of my pc gaming, but does anyone have any suggestions for an easy to use editing software. I would like to be able to put some videos together but I have never done any real editing. It will also need to be FREE. I’m not gonna spend any money on this right now. Any help would be great. Thanks

Once you get the hang of editing clips together and possibly get the video editing bug you can move on to something like Sony Movie Studio($$).

Sony Movie Studio Platinum is what I use. It’s $60 but I did manage to snag it on sale for $45. I honestly forget why I made the switch, for some reason Windows Movie maker wouldn’t do what I needed and Digital made me buy it.

If you have Linux or a Linux partition with your PC, OpenShot is free.

Lightworks has a free version, it’s a bit limited on output and looks like hard mode editing.

Bumping the thread since i saw chat in discord about this.

Would like to add a question though…for those in GRG that are making videos; what are yall using to record from the pc?

I think the majority (including me) just stream it to Twitch and use that for recording purposes.

@EnyoBellona If you have a NVIDIA card and NVIDIA Experience isn’t being a pain in the ass you can use this…

Awesome. Yeah, I have the gtx 1060, so i will check out the shadowplay option. I purchased the sony movie maker…just gotta learn the program.

I need a GRG “away” overlay for my twitch channel. Anyone got one of those?

I can make you one. Do you stream in 720 or 1080? How do you want it to look? Large bags of dicks in the background?

Not during my stream.
Just a still for the screen when i’m not streaming.

I was thinking like a large reaper image in the center, “Old man sleeping” across the top and “check us out at grimreapergamers.com” across the bottom or something.

I want to change this. too generic.
