At PlayStation Experience today, Gearbox announced a new character for Battleborn. The new character, named Toby, is a penguin that operates a mech suit.
In addition, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford announced PlayStation owners will be invited to the open beta first, with exclusive access to the new character Toby, before the game’s release next year.
Pitchford also revealed that PlayStation players will receive an additional hero when Battleborn launches, exclusive to PlayStation, rounding out the total number of characters to 26 on Sony’s console.
Battleborn was recently delayed to May of 2016.
