The road to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds full release has been a long one. We’ve had countless patches, a PTR (for a pre-release game), and we’ve watched as the PC got cool new stuff while we got big fixes that made the game playable, but it has become better with time and the developers are confident they can finally release the game officially on September 4th.
Included with the new release is the Sanhok map, which will send players to a map a quarter of the usual size with higher loot density and shorter matches in a jungle environment. The map has been a big hit on PC. We’ll also be getting dynamic weather to mix things up, custom matches, and War Mode (deathmatch). Oh, and micro transactions.
That’s not all. You’ll also be able to buy an exclusive PUBG Xbox controller on October 30th, which has all the standard premium fixings Microsoft normally includes:
So, about those achievements…they’ll be there September 4th. They’ll be retroactive. We don’t have the list yet, but you can always see what they might look like by checking out the PC list on TrueSteamAchievements. PUBG is coming out officially on September 4th.
