Okay for some reason, I want to buy a raspberry pi and use it to play old retro games. I’m finding different articles that talk about it but nothing really showing my old ass how to do it. Is this hard to do? Is it expensive? Can anybody share an article or walk me through the process step by step?
I’m really not sure why I decided that this was a good idea. Guess I am just bored.
Forgot to ask, I saw somewhere that you can play Minecraft on it. My son has been begging for a computer to play Minecraft on so he can do all the different mods. Do you think that this is possible on the Raspberry Pi?
I have never used one but I doubt Pi can handle modded minecraft. The minecraft it probably runs is pocket edition. I know that minecraft has switched to a universal edition across all devices so I am not sure what the new requirements are. The limited memory on the Pi is going to be your issue.
It can, however, with the power needed to mine it would take about 100 days before you will get a return. Not a positive return, but enough data crunched to give you a sliver of a coin. Think about data rates as well as data caps imposed by your ISP before looking into this method.
