Week one of fantasy football is over and team owners are either feeling really good about their teams or they are scrambling to get the hot free agents to fill weaknesses in their lineup. We had some big name injuries. David Johnson (Tittsburg Feelers), Allen Robinson (Reaper Feelers), Danny Woodhead (Chompers Anonymous), Kevin White (Utah Taters) all are out for significant amounts of time.
Defending champion @anon42851937 took a 19.5 point loss to @BalekFekete behind a huge fantasy output from Tyreek Hill (22.5 points). When asked if worried about his team Coach Hustler said, “I think we just need more corn in our diet. Guys looked sluggish we will probably do corn syrup IV for all players before the game next week.”
Newcomer @anon36214017 came to play but came up short against @Claude505. Our resident auto drafter’s team did just enough to squeak by following a big performance by Tyrod Taylor (21 points). We asked Claude how he felt about his team and all we got was a mumble. All we were able to decipher was “Fucking auto draft” and “3 straight receivers”. We are not sure if he was complaining or praising his team.
@APMech12 team showed up to play this week. Logging the 2nd highest score of the week lead by a great game from the Jaguars D/ST (29 points). We caught up with his opponent after the game to find out why his team didn’t show up for the game. @anon3687162 said, “I didn’t have time to coach due to other obligations for Jack.” We don’t know who Jack is but he must be a special kinda guy.
Our second rookie coach is @ReaperMan10. His team pulled off the win against @TEXENT with a big performance from Stephon Diggs (24.5 points). We were not able to interview either coach but we could hear Coach Texent crying in the locker room. “Why must my fantasy team be as bad as me at Madden!”
Our final rookie coach is @GrumpyInUt. He pulled off a huge beat down against his good friend @shortbus. A big game by the Eagles D/ST (23 oints) help him pull it off. We tried to catch up with coach Grumpy after the game but he was surrounded by about 50 Mormon women wanting his phone number. We did catch up with Coach Bus. When asked how he was feeling he said, “Fuck football I am going to go throw some pork on the smoker and eat myself into a comma.”
In our final game of the week we saw @D1G1TALC1PHERS go up against his good friend @CaptainPeeJ. It was a epic battle with Coach Ciphers pulling off a 50 point win. A big game by rookie running back Kareem Hunt helped the Tittsburg Feelers pull off the most points of the week. When asked about the game Coach PeeJ said, " Coach Ciphers is my boy. I let him win."
Overall it was a fun and exciting week even with the horrible offensive play for the most part across the league. Stay tuned next week for the Reaper Bowl Week 2 Recap right here at grimreapergamers.com.
