not sure, but you may want to check.
You have to go to the verizon site and enable the discount. They wonāt do it automatically (of course).
so what if I were to just buy a new phone unlocked for like 500 bucks Iād be saving $100 a month wouldnāt would that be the smart thing to do instead of a two year contract with a discount
Not sure Iām following you. You get the $25 a month discount for not being under contract. Buy whatever phone you want from anywhere. Just donāt take their āfreeā phone deal and renew your 2 year contract. As long as you are not under contract, you get the discount.
@Audible_Silence Is your contract an edge contract? Or is it a new every 2 years? They have two types of plans. I was $40 a month per smart phone under the new every 2 year deal. Meaning Iād have to pay part of the phone out of pocket.
The edge plan is different, you may not have that.
I bought my phone for $50 and signed a 2 year service contract. None of that edge phone contract stuff. I own my phone. Ill have to check out the fine print of the site and crunch some numbers
Youāre not on Edge at the moment so youāre not eligible for that deal on your current plan. I had the same plan that you have now. We switched to Edge. I think itās a scam that will bite me in the ass in 2 years. But who knows wtf will happen with wireless in 2 years.
Stop by a Verizon store and check out your options.
I have AT & Tās version of this. We own our phones so itās $15.00 a month and no contract. Plenty of phones for sale on Ebay and Amazon. I know some people buy them off of Craigās list if you are the adventurous sort.
Theyāve actually expanded this to the more everything plans, as long as youāre out of contract. I just enabled the discount to two lines that went out of contract in January.
i dunno, verizons site is slow as poop from the shop pc.
i guess i can switch to an everything plan? but i would still be at $80/mo instead of $89ā¦ im outta patience waiting for the site to load. my plan now is $20 for 450 min/mo, $20 for text, and $30 for 2gig dataā¦ ehā¦
I know you got a phone but didnt wanna make a new thread. here is a bunch of leaked info on the new HTC ONE coming out next week.
No removable battery makes this a no go for me. A removable and long lasting battery were two of the main things I was looking at in a phone. I wanted to be able to actually use the phone all day. And I wanted the option of getting a new battery when this one slowly died (they all do).
Iām digging the Note 4, itās a solid phone and nearly everything Iāve wanted. The only thing Iām not crazy about is the size. Which Iām getting used to. Itās nice having that big screen. It does suck as it feels like I have a plank of wood in my front pocket.
Youāre not happy to see me?
so i the other day google+ decided to use 1.5 gigs of data for now reason. I called verizon to get a gig of data added for freeā¦ long story short, dude said that if i switch to a more everything plan, i save $10 a month AND get a $25 credit for being out of contract.
so if you are out of contract call your carrier.
My phone did the same thing. One Saturday, it went crazy and used over a gig and I wasnāt using it. Pissed me off.
How long does the battery last ? Did you root it >?
The battery is huge and easily lasts all day. You canāt root these phones yet. I canāt wait until I can, there is an awesome ad blocker I want (Adaway).
hmmmmm, canāt wait to root a phoneā¦ funny, i donāt feel the same way with my iPhone. never felt that needā¦
Yes, I never heard of jailbreak before.
Thatās just something disgruntled android users do to innocent iPhones.
