Recs on an external SSD drive for PS4?

There’s a bunch of options out there, I’m sure they’re all basically of the same quality, but I’d like to hear some opinions.

Would like recommendations on both the units and online stores to purchase from (maybe there’s some deals out there I’m unaware of).

Thanks folks!

I know you won’t purchase from Amazon UK but here’s the one I bought - going strong, survived two moves and no issues.

3-4 TB would be my recommendation for size.
USB 3.0 and externally powered would also be my recommendations.

Also, bear in mind that you’ll have to use one of the two USB slots on the front of the PS4.

Seagate 4 TB Expansion USB 3.0 Desktop 3.5 Inch External Hard Drive for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (STEB4000200) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UNA1OBQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4W3UBb70R0AQ5

I won’t link sites since I only know the UK stuff.

That Seagate unit you linked is a HDD, not an SSD :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, I’ve got a PS4 Pro so there’s a USB port on the back for this sort of thing.

I mainly want it to move D2 over so the interface is snappier. Getting sick of waiting three, four seconds to be able to do anything, especially during clutch activities.

It is, I didn’t notice you said SSD.
Also, didn’t know that about the Pro…
Fair - it is annoying. Let me know if it makes (much of) a difference.

From what I’ve read, it makes a big difference. It’s slow drive load times causing the menu sluggishness.
