regarding guild chat on PS4 for ESO

Just some things I’ve noticed is that yes we use guild chat; but why does it have to be so loud everyone needs to learn that you can control the level of input through you mic using the PS4 settings under audio devices because it gets a little hard when peeps come in and they are so booming and echoing it really makes staying in guild chat undesirable. Also we need to start using the group function so we can know where peeps are at, because we can be in groups ans all stay in guild chat at the same time so as to know where peeps are at in Tamriel. Just a few things I wanted to share.

You can adjust volume. Go to options, audio. At the bottom there is a slider called player volume. Adjust it to your preferred setting.

Yeah, it’s a good idea to set the player volume. The default is at least 3/4, I’ve found half or slightly less to be optimal.

I have my volume down and it is still a problem for me, trust me I know how to use all my audio settings for my audio devices and my controller for party chat and other volumes.

I read post as some people seem to have their mic right in their mouth, while others have it an appropriate distance from said mouth. Kind of like commercials on tv, some are way louder than others. Gamer etiquette, IMO. Something I’m working on myself lol

Not trying to be a dick (though normally I am totally trying to be a dick) but have you said anything to a person who may be to loud when in chat?

i have but its like they don’t care

Every person I’ve came across that had a mic was way too loud…maybe it’s the game that has the volume too loud, I tried turning my headset down and to noneffect

This must be a PS4 thing then. I know the voice chat was loud on the XB1 side but I just adjusted the player volume. It’s fine now.
