So we have been looking at alternatives and or solutions to get a better site chat. I.E one with a mobile app.
I have a solution to go back to CometChat with there mobile app. This will fix the issue with the drain it caused on Data and the load on the server. The solution is to change from a Pull (polling) to Push (Like Hangouts). Only problem is to do this it will cost $100 for the code. (Very Lame, I know) I already have the server configured to handle it.
There is also risk. Although this will defintely eliminate the data draw on peoples phones I am not entirely sure of the load it will add to the server. It will defintely be less just not sure how much less.
What we are asking for it help to raise the money to purchase the code and try it out. If it does not work consider the money donated to help support server costs.

So been working with CometChat over the past few days on getting the push service to work. Got to a level 2 tech and it was brought to my attention that CometChat does not support the mobile app with the push service yet. They had no mention of this on their website. They acknowledged this and are providing a refund to us plus adding a note to their page to reflect that. They say they are working on supporting this in the near future (whatever) that means.
So as it seems we are going to stick with what we got now and will continue to look for other options.
