I’m smoking my very first brisket tomorrow. Well technically starting it tonight. I’ve got the general plan down I just wonder if I should baste in bbq sauce for the last stages or not?

I would baste near the end, it shouldn’t need any BBQ sauce added by the eaters to taste good, that’s my only advice and it’s secondhand as I don’t have a smoker. Good luck, get lots of pics and share them please!!
Reached first stage temp about 4 hours early…
Not sure what to do if I hit 200 4 hours before everyone shows up. Lol

They suggest keeping your head in the smoker for the entire time. Just close the lid…
