Team 17 has announced that it has a new Worms game in the works and it’s releasing at some point this year. The developer teased the game via a post over on Twitter.

The teaser gives us a look back at the previous Worms games before the year 2020 appears on screen. Other than that, the video doesn’t give too much away. The tweet says, “Grab your Bazooka and jump on your Sheep. The Worms are back in 2020 like you’ve never seen them before. New Worms, new ways to play.”
The last entry into the Worms franchise was four years ago with Worms W.M.D. In total, Team 17 has developed a whopping 26 Worms games. In recent years, Team 17 has taken on a publishing role and has published games such as Overcooked 1 and 2 and the Yooka Laylee games.
Team 17 says that it will be releasing more details about its upcoming Worms game soon.
