The Crew 2 Brings Us A Ten Minute Preview Highlighting More Gameplay

News of The Crew 2 was one of the big E3 announcements, Ubisoft’s open-world racer returning with more mode of transportation than ever. Following the launch trailer and screenshots, we now have a gameplay video as well.

In the video, the team behind the game explains how it will differ from the original, being more lighthearted in tone and focused on exploration and teamwork. Those who have unlocked certain achievements in The Crew will also be given bonus vehicles as a thank you from the team. Although this footage is on the Playstation 4, we can expect the Xbox version to look just as good.

The Crew 2 is due for release in early 2018.

The Crew 2 Methods of Transportation and Motornation

At E3, Ubisoft confirmed that motorbikes, planes, and boats are coming to the world of The Crew 2. Along with those vehicle additions, the map has been expanded and updated. The new and improved open world, dubbed Motornation, has undergone even more world-bending than the first game in order to accommodate the new methods of transportation. For example, players will be able to pilot boats across all of Motornation.

The game’s producer Stephane Jankowski had this to say on the transformation from the first game to the second:

We wanted to create this crazy world with the United States that we’ve completely reshaped from The Crew to The Crew 2 to fit with all these kind of vehicles.

The Crew 2 will be holding beta phases across the coming months. If you’re interested, you can sign up for a chance to participate on the game’s official site. The Crew 2 is set to release early 2018 on Xbox One.
