Did anyone who played the private beta have to redownload? Or was it just a patch to the existing download?

Played a bit of this tonight. Trying to not really spend time in it but did anyway. I can’t wait for it’s release, I’m ready for a new grind.

I did get some weird sound and vibration glitches on some guns. No sounds while firing them and no joystick vibration. Switching weapons helped it.

One thing I noticed is there is a fuck ton to do. Missions to upgrade the camps and what not. I’m very excited for this game.

Also, is it just a beta thing or is there not going to be a character creation screen? Choosing random characters until you find one you sort of like just sucks. With a game like this you really need to let the player chose how he wants to look.

I hope that’s just a beta thing. I want to make Frank Castle.

I would imagine so as Div 1 had a character creation (or so I remember).

I got some sound and vibration glitches last night and this morning. I agree there is a ton to do, but i hope there are some “Pearls” they kept out of the Beta cycle because it feels and plays a lot like Division 1.5 and could have easily been a DLC or Expansion of the Post 1.8 Patch from the original game.
Don’t get me wrong there some awesomely cool new things to do (Control Point, Public Execution, Propaganda, etc…) but i hope the Black Tusk elements change the feel of the missions and the open world experience too.

Last Day for the Beta today, hope to see feedback from others who played posted in here as we wind down and look forward to the launch?

@DivisionPlayers

Did you play the private beta? Was this better or worse?

Did you play the first game at all?
If not, did the mechanics make sense?

What were the high points / low points of your experiences in the Open Beta?

Will you be buying the game?

I noticed a few issues. Losing weapon sounds and vibrations being one of the main. It would happen at random times. It’s weird to shoot a gun in game and get no response at all. Switching weapons seemed to fix it. I also had a few disconnects.

I’m MLG so even if I didn’t play the first it still would make sense. Get on my level, scrub.

I’m ready for a new grind. Looking forward to finding the next Barrett’s vest / Lexington grind. I think I ran that a million times.

Actually, I enjoy this franchise and love the cover mechanics as it reminds me of Rainbow Six Vegas. I also enjoy the Barbie dress up even though I’ll be boring and deck my guy out in the latest Tacticool wear.

Will you be buying the game?

Already purchased and downloaded (although I expect a 50 GB day one “patch”).

Is there DLC? Did you buy it? Did you get the Super Shiney Special Ed version?

I purchased the Gold Edition for 100 bucks.

The Gold Edition includes the base game, Year 1 Pass, and three-day early access to the game.

@Lala_Calamari - as did I, but now my move corresponds to the week of the early access. FML, but at least I’ll have something to look forward to once I get the internet and Sex-Box set up.

FYI - @DivisionPlayers

Open Beta runs until 1AM PDT tonight, so if you have spare time you may want to dive in.

Excellent rant fodder.
