So one point that was never brought up. When Thanos is fighting you have to check whether he has the stones or not. The key is the power that is brought when holding the stones. He beats the snot out of the hulk because he has the power stone. Same when he lays out Captain Marvel. But does not have them when fighting Captain America and Thor.

According to the directors, Thanos did not use the power stone.

I call bullshit on that one. He is not only wearing the gauntlet but uses it in the damn scene.

Yes he is super strong and skilled warrior. But he acts as if the hulk is not even hurting him.
