If I can name my toon Jammer, lock him in a room with no doors, and feed him tacos till he shits himself to death, I’m in!

You can.

Although, I like watching them suffer and drown in the pool when you take the ladders out.

I’m torn between this and cities skylines. If cities dropped in price, it would be no comparison. I like having a mindless game to go to after a hard day.

I didn’t know Todd Howard had control over the Sims. Finally getting a 3 year old game onto the Xbox One!

My favorite Sims torture is naming a girl Samara and then locking her in a room with a circular stone structure.

It’s not enough that my girlfiend steals the xbox from me to watch Netflix now she’ll play The Sims. smh.

There’s just something about creating a family and playing god with their lives that strikes certain emotional chords. For some, it’s a tale of love and dedication. For others, it’s a tale of malice and sick glee. Either way, we certainly learn a little bit about ourselves and our hopes for the human race. Or something like that. Anyway we found out just three short days ago that The Sims 4 was coming to consoles. Now we get to hear a bit more from Executive Producer Lyndsay Pearson on the matter:

The addition of a console-version of The Sims 4 has been long-awaited by fans and newcomers alike, and we at Maxis are beyond excited to bring The Sims to new platforms…The game delivers a beautiful The Sims experience on console and comes packed with tons of the fan-favourite content, so players can look forward to the unique gameplay, self-expression, and fun that have come to be tentpoles of The Sims brand. The possibilities to play with life are as endless as the players’ creativity.

Which one of these fine folks will wet themselves tonight when all doors and windows in their room are removed?

Sounds like The Sims. But what does it look like? A better version of The Sims if today’s trailer is any indication.

The Sims 4 will launch on November 17th. You can get it three days early by pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition while EA Access members will get their free trial the standard five days before release.

Even back when extra game content had to be purchased on disc, The Sims series has always been known for its plethora of expansions. The Sims 4 is no different, and the PC version already has a variety of DLC that can be purchased. Four of these expansions will be available at the launch of the console versions: “The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff Pack,” “The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack,” “The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack” and “The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack.”

Descriptions have been released for all four packages:

The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff Pack

For Sims looking to spruce up their patio, this pack is just the thing. Create a relaxing space where you can fire up the grill to enjoy a cookout with friends while enjoying lounging around in their new fashionable casual clothing. Had a stressful day at work? Your Sims will melt away their stress to kick back and relax in their all new hot tub. Don’t worry, if you aren’t the hot tub type you can kick back by the pool with a new stylish furnishing to relax the stress away.

The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack

Does your Sim enjoy the more refined things in life or enjoy a more classic feel? Do they want to spend more of their time enjoying all that life has to offer, rather than cooking and cleaning? Then The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff is the perfect pack to fulfill their dreams. Builders will enjoy the glitzy new items; including the all new Vanity Table, 16th Century Monte Vista Globe Bar, and even a classy gold Giraffe lamp. For the more refined Sims who find themselves above normal home chores you can hire the Butler NPC to come and take care of all that work for you, some might even have interesting traits that you will learn about as you get to know your new house helper.

The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack

For Sims who enjoy living more of the Supernatural life, The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack is the perfect edition to your collection. You will be able to transform your Sims into powerful Vampires, become immortal, and enjoy the all new eerie world of Forgotten Hollow; where night time seems to last unusually longer than other worlds. Create your perfect Vampire with all new Create a Sim tools, including an all new “dark form”, and lots of new outfits and accessories. Unlock unique powers that give your Vampire Sims a variety of supernatural abilities.

The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack

Are your Sims tired of living the suburban life? Look no further than The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack. Enjoy the new bustling city of San Myshuno; meet new friends, try out new careers, enjoy local festivals, and find the apartment (or penthouse) of your dreams! Festivals occur in your local neighborhood that bring new activities and food for your Sim to enjoy, they can even get a festival exclusive T-Shirt from a local vendor to show support. Enjoy playing basketball with friends and going to the local Karaoke spot for a good evening out.

Of course, all the expansions require the base game The Sims 4, which is being sold as a standard edition or a Digital Deluxe Party Edition that comes with some extra goodies. No pricing is listed for the console expansions as of this writing — although some of them have begun to show up on the Xbox Marketplace — but if they follow their PC pricing on EA’s Origin platform, it will be as follows:

  • The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff Pack - US$9.99
  • The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack - US$9.99
  • The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack - US$19.99
  • The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack - US$39.99

“The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack,” “The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack” and “The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack” will also be available together in a bundle, although no pricing was available. “The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Pack” is bundled with the Digital Deluxe Party Edition.

The Sims 4 launches for Xbox One and PS4 on November 17th with the Digital Deluxe Party Edition offering early access starting November 13th.

I am going to do the put in a pool without ladders and leave them all in there. I will call it the GRG home.
