The Summit is a 100-floor PVE skyscraper coming to The Division 2

A new PVE mode that has players clearing a 100-floor skyscraper is coming to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.

The Summit was revealed during a developer live stream (thanks, Resetera). The repeatable game mode requires you to fight your way up 100 floors of a skyscraper, with each floor becoming more difficult as you ascend. Boss fights are also sprinkled throughout at every 10th level, just to make The Summit even more challenging. Each time you play, the experience will be different. Ubisoft says there are dozens of pre-defined floor layouts that are selected at random. This goes for enemies and objectives too.

The difficulty scales whether you’re playing solo or if you’re with friends. This means The Summit can be completed on your own, but you’re going to be in for a tough time. The first time you play, you’ll have to start at level 1 and work your way up floor by floor. Beating a boss acts as a checkpoint and allows you to start from that floor should you die. If you don’t make it to a boss though, there are elevators every three floors meaning you won’t have to redo nine levels.

The Summit will, of course, have plenty of new loot, including exotics. One of these is only awarded for completing the 100th floor. After finishing The Summit, a special quest will be unlocked. Only after completing this quest can the new exotic be obtained. There’s also a bunch of new weapons, exotic gear and gear sets all coming with the next title update.

Ubisoft has not given a date for when The Summit or Title Update 11 will roll out. The Summit will begin beta testing on PC as of September 4th, so it might not be long before we see it on Xbox One. The game mode will be free to anyone who already owns the Warlords of New York expansion.

Is this a Raid or just a standard mission? Does anyone know if this is included with the game or a paid addon?

I wouldn’t mind trying this at some point.

@DivisionPlayers

its kinda like a dungeon, each level gets harder and harder and loot gets better and better as you progress, every 10 levels is a boss and it saves your progress in sets of 10 as well
