Fabulous !
Before release, Respawn promised that Titanfall 2 would receive constant updates to its multiplayer suite completely for free. So far, theyâve made good on that promise. Today they released a new trailer showcasing the new multiplayer mode Live Fire.
Live Fire is a 6v6 game mode thatâs basically CTF except the maps are extremely tight and there are no Titans. This means youâll constantly be in battle fighting over the flag and youâll need to use your mobility to its fullest effect to complete the objective. Titanfall 2âs current map rotation wouldnât naturally support this kind of gameplay, so Respawn has followed up the new mode with two new maps designed specifically for it - Stacks and Meadow. You can see both, and the game mode, in the video below.
Titanfall 2 will continue getting support for the foreseeable future. There is currently no release date for the Live Fire mode.
A new multiplayer mode for Titanfall 2 called Live Wire was revealed and detailed three weeks ago. At the time, we didnât have a release date but now, Respawn has deployed the free update with double XP to go along with it.
With the update comes two mode-specific Live Fire maps, a featured playlists, âa new execution, an additional Coliseum map, mixtape-style matchmaking, balance patches,â and plenty more. The patch itself also contains tons of changes including new content details, new features, weapon balancing and bug fixes. Hereâs the full list:
The update for Titanfall 2 is already live along with a double XP weekend which is also live and will run until February 27th. The bonus XP will only be available in the new Live Fire mode.
Sweet. Sounds like the game mode we will be playing for Monday Night
Titanfall. I will be on around 9PM EST.
Does anyone know how the xp works if I were to use a double xp ticket during the double xp weekend?
Ooh double xp thanks for the info

First up, take a look at details and a screen of the Glitch Map, followed by the Deck Live Fire Map:

Thereâs also a list of the other features coming with the DLC including additions, changes, and an update to the main menu:

Titanfall 2 is getting a cooperative horde mode next week
Titanfall 2 is getting its first cooperative mode next week as part of the Operation Frontier Shield update â which is free, as are all of the gameâs updates. The new mode is called Frontier Defense, and it pits up to four cooperative players against five waves of âincreasingly difficult enemiesâ.
Slaying enemies nets you cash, which can be spent between waves on various tools, including Batteries, Arc Traps and Sentries. Meanwhile, playing Frontier Defense will let you earn Aegis Ranks, a new Titan progression system which can unlock new upgrades â though these will only apply to Frontier Defense for the time being.
The mode will be supported across five existing maps, including Homestead, Forwardbase Kodai, War Games, Rise and Blackwater Canal. New enemy types feature in it, and there are three difficulty levels as well as an âInsaneâ difficulty.
Oh, and speaking of the aforementioned Rise map â itâs new. Or at least it is if you never played the original Titanfall. The Live Fire mode also has a new map in the form of Township. For full details on the update, visit the Titanfall website here. The update releases July 25.
We may be heading towards the end of August but that doesnât mean that Respawn doesnât have plans for this month. In four days time, Titanfall 2 will be getting another free DLC drop: âPostcards From the Frontierâ. So what do you get?
First there will be a new live fire map: UMA.
There will be a new Hole in the Wall [Amped Wall] execution where players will need to kill 5 Pilots while Amped Wall is active to be able to unlock it. This will be accompanied by two new featured modes: Aegis Titan Brawl and Aegis Last Titan Standing. These modes will have the same rules as their normal counterparts, but instead players will be using their Aegis upgraded Titans from Frontier Defense. Aegis Titan Brawl will be the mode available at the launch of the DLC. Speaking of Frontier Defense, there are three more maps for the mode too: Exoplanet, Drydock and Angel City.
Exoplanet
There are new elite weapon warpaints to purchase from the store that each comes with a Squad Leader Bonus.
