Treyarch removes Multi-Team Elimination from Black Ops Cold War due to issues

The highly anticipated Multi-Team Elimination game mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War did not have a long stay in the game following the Season 3 Reloaded update, as Treyarch announced it had removed the new game mode from the rotation for the time being.

Season 3 Reloaded has officially arrived in the world of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and it has brought various changes to the popular first-person shooter.

One of the most anticipated changes that the Season 3 Reloaded update made to Black Ops Cold War was introducing the new Multi-Team Elimination game mode for the game’s Fireteam maps that added a battle royale-like element to the title.

However, Treyarch, the game developers, has announced that they have temporarily removed the Cold War Multi-Team Elimination game mode from the playlist rotation.

Black Ops Cold War Multi-Team Elimination

Following the new content for Season 3 Reloaded going live on May 19, 2021, the Cold War Multi-Team Elimination mode had been officially added, and players had the chance to jump into all of the action it promised.

However, soon after it went live in the Call of Duty game, Treyarch took to its official Twitter account and announced that the developers had decided to temporarily remove the Cold War Multi-Team Elimination game mode while they investigated issues it was having.

Treyarch did not specifically say what the issues that caused them to remove the new game mode from rotation were, but they were enough for the developer to decide that it was not able to keep it in the game soon after it was first added.

Plenty of players were disappointed to hear the news of it being removed for the time being, as many community members were looking forward to the style of action that this mode was bringing to the first-person shooter.

It remains to be seen when the Cold War Multi-Team Elimination game mode will become available for players to jump into once again, but we will let you know as soon as it is announced.
