An eagle-eyed Redditor has spotted an upcoming Xbox Game Pass deal which will give three months subscription to the service for only $1.
The current Xbox Game Pass library contains 100+ Xbox One and Xbox 360 backward compatible games, but a separate Xbox Live Gold subscription is required for online play. This upcoming deal may be connected to recent rumours of a new combined subscription which would include both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. The industry insider who leaked the rumour claims that Xbox Insiders will have early access to the new service for only $1 per month. If this is true then a deal offering three months of Xbox Game Pass for $1 would restore purchasing parity between Xbox Insiders and the wider Xbox community during the early access period.
The offer details are currently displayed on the Xbox Game Pass sales page but not in an obvious position. The relevant section of the small print states:
3 Months for $1: Promotional discounts not available in Quebec or Russia. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Limit 1 offer per account. Offer valid from 4/11/2019 9:00 PM PDT though 5/12/2019 11:59 PDT. After promotional period, subscription continues to be charged at the then-current regular quarterly price (subject to change), unless cancelled. Plus applicable taxes. Credit card required.
It looks like this offer will be available to both new and former subscribers, so if you’re interested then remember to purchase between April 11th and May 12th.
