The long awaited and highly anticipated update 1.1.1 for Bungie’s Destiny is almost here! While players wait eagerly for its release, Bungie have released a bunch of details as to what’s to come in the update.
The most eye-catching part of the details is easily the addition of matchmaking to Weekly Heroic Strikes. This means players who don’t always have a bunch of friends available to stop, drop everything, and roll out to a strike, can simply pair up with a crew of randoms and head on out. No changes have been applied to Nightfall or Raids but players will no longer have to ride solo into the Weekly Heroics.
Included in the blog post are a few bullet points “you’ll enjoy” that will be included in the upcoming update:
• Xûr will stop forgetting to bring his Exotic engrams when he visits us from… wherever Xûr is from.
• Iron Banner will work as previously promised, with a greater variety of maps in rotation as well as a couple of new Bounties that give you more control over which weapon you can use to complete them – and we were hoping that one would have arrived before the current event.
• Strikes and Crucible Maps will be less likely to repeat themselves when you stay in a matchmaking playlist with your Fireteam.
• Grimoire Cards will drop when you expect them to.
We’ll keep you up to speed with a release date or/and more details for the Destiny’s patch as soon as they become available.
