World of Warcraft could be coming to consoles for the first time in its sixteen-year history. A rating for the game’s next expansion, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, has been discovered over on Brazil’s classification website with one of the platforms being listed as Xbox Series X.
`
`Not sure if this
is an error, but World of Warcraft: Shadowlands was rated in Brazil
today for Xbox Series X + PC. https://t.co/PVcoSIn1ii<ahref=“https://twitter.com/Blizzard_Ent?ref_src=twsrc^tfw”>@Blizzard_Ent

The news comes from Gematsu who spotted the rating online. The listing states that WoW Shadowlands has been rated for both PC and Xbox Series X and includes both violence and animated violence. The Brazillian rating board has been known to leak games ahead of time, so this information is somewhat reliable. However, this could simply be a mistake. We’ve reached out to Blizzard for comment.
World of Warcraft has only been reserved for PC and has never featured on a console before. Recently, the game received gamepad and Xbox Adaptive Controller support, further adding fuel to the rumour of a console release. World of Warcraft Shadowlands is expected to launch at some point this year on PC.
