Vanguard Season 4 Reloaded: Terminator crossover, Vargo-S, Desolation map, Zombies and More

Vanguard Season 4 Reloaded will kick off at 9 AM PT on Tuesday, July 26.

Vanguard Vargo-S

While players were treated to both the Marco 5 and UGM-8 at the beginning of Season 4, there are still some announced new weapons that are yet to be added. The Vargo-S Assault Rifle will headline Season 4 Reloaded, following the Push Daggers which have already dropped.

New guns can often completely change the meta, so Vanguard players will be eager to get their hands on the prototype Cold War Vargo 52.

We’ll have to wait and see how the Vargo-S feels, but the devs have already said it has a “high-fire rate, steady aim through sustained fire, and a quick reload.”

After initially teasing the crossover before the beginning of the new season, the Season 4 Batlle Pass announcement on the Call of Duty blog confirmed that Terminator cosmetics are coming in the mid-season update.

Both the T-800 and T-1000 Terminators will arrive as Store Bundles for players to purchase, although they will only be available for a limited time.

The T-800 is the iconic machine first played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the classic 1984 movie. Meanwhile, the T-1000 is a shapeshifter made from Mimetic Polyalloy liquid metal, most commonly associated with Robert Patrick in T2.

New Multiplayer map: Desolation

Based on a Pacific listening post, Desolation is a medium-sized multiplayer map with winding alleyways.

With a “labyrinthine village cut directly into the mountainside,” and a “crashed plane in flames,” this is sure to be an exciting and visually impressive map. Sledgehammer Games claim players who “can combine fast reflexes with smart movement” are likely to dominate.

Titanium Trials

Armored SUV in Warzone Titanium Trials

With machines coming to Warzone, Iron Trials are no longer enough. It’s time to gear up and take on the Titanium Trials, a brand-new mode arriving as part of the Season 4 Reloaded update.

Designed to simulate the strength and durability of the Terminator, the game’s maximum base armor threshold will be raised to 300 points. Paired up with slower health regeneration, the time-to-kill in this mode will be significantly higher than we are used to.

Thankfully, each player will spawn with a Self Revive Kit to get you back in the action, while the mode features “a custom-built loot table” designed to support the higher TTK. Redacted Weapons will make an appearance in this mode, with fewer overall resources to be found in-game.

Unfortunately, we have to wait for a little bit to get into the action, as Titanium Trials won’t go live in-game until August 11, lasting two weeks.

Rebirth of the Dead

Rebirth of the Dead will go live on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, the same day as when players can download the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update.

Zombies fighting players on Rebirth of the Dead

Zombie Royale is back, with Rebirth of the Dead tasking players to “eliminate whatever threats lurk in the fog.”

In this mode, ten squads will deploy on the island, and will need to fight not only each other, but hordes of the undead as they attempt to secure victory. Any player eliminated from the match will come back as a Zombie, tasked with taking down the living that still roams the island.

Zombies will be able to respawn as Operators by finding four lone Antivirals:

  • Single antivirals found in crates or Buy Stations
  • Two antivirals earned by eliminating an Operator
  • All four antivirals earned by performing a Finishing Move as a zombie

As zombies are eliminated, the Infestation meter will gradually fill up. Once full, all spectators will come back as the undead.

Warzone Rebirth of the Dead challenges & rewards

On top of the fun of tearing through the flesh of your friends, there are also two different Calling Cards up for grabs by playing Rebirth of the Dead. We’ve got both, along with the requirements to earn them, below:

  • “Last Alive” Calling Card – Win a match as a human
  • “Head Scratcher” Calling Card – Perform a Finishing Move as a zombie

Luckily, these two challenges should be fairly easy to complete if you commit to playing plenty of Rebirth of the Dead before it is removed.

Portable Redeploy Balloons & Armored SUV Nitros boost

Warzone players will have two new ways to get around the island in Season 4 Reloaded, with Portable Redeploy Balloons introduced, and Armored SUVs getting a serious boost in performance.

Allowing players to get around the map quickly, these lootable items can be found as a Field Upgrade in loot, or as a Contract reward. They’ll take 30 seconds to blow up, after which you can clip on and fly into the air.

If you felt the Armored SUV just wasn’t quick enough for you, a shot of Nitrous should really get you speeding around the map.

Vanguard Zombies camos in Warzone

Good news for Warzone players who grinded for Vanguard Zombies camos, as they will now be available in the battle royale moving forward.

The skins will be available on Caldera, Fortune’s Keep, and Rebirth Island, so you’ll be able to show off your achievements wherever you play.

Warzone Fortune’s Keep Cursed Ground event explained

The Fortune’s Keep Cursed Ground event will arrive ahead of the Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded update, and here’s everything that you need to know about it.

To prepare for the arrival of the mid-season update, the developers have turned the Season 4 Fortune’s Keep map into Cursed Ground, and a new event will be introduced to match this change.

Warzone Ikenna Olowe operator

After hopping into Warzone, you’ll find numerous “cursed chests” hidden around Fortune’s Keep, and these contain power-ups along with other high-quality items like Cash, Killstreaks, and Equipment.

These are part of the Cursed Grounds event that will take place prior to the arrival of Warzone Pacific’s Season 4 Reloaded update. The rewards will go to those players who are able to fend off a hungry horde.

If you want to get your hands on the contents of these chests then you’ll need to take out the Zombies that are continuously spawning nearby and harvest Wisps. If you’ve harvested enough within the time limit, you’ll be able to access all the rewards.

However, you’ll encounter more difficult waves of Zombies as your Wisp collection grows throughout the match. The Circle Collapse around the map can also eliminate you if you accidentally end up in it.

This event will test your survival skills, but if you’re able to hold off the Zombie hordes until the timer runs out then you’ll be able to secure some high-quality loot for yourself. So, be sure to hop into Warzone and try it out.

Warzone Titanium Trials Endurance mode: Release date, rules, & rewards

Warzone Titanium Trials Endurance release date

If you’re looking to hop into Warzone’s Titanium Trials then you will need to wait for a little while as this new game mode won’t arrive until August 11, two weeks after Season 4 Reloaded goes live.

When this mode finally becomes available in the game, it will remain available for two weeks. So, you’ll have plenty of time to jump into the action and get your hands on fun rewards.

Warzone Titanium Trials Endurance rules

Titanium Trials increases the maximum base armor threshold on Caldera to 300 hit points to simulate a Terminator model’s toughness. Health core health regeneration takes longer to restore, making this a high-skill and high TTK game mode.

You’ll start the game with a Self-Revive Kit and will be able to pick up the Tempered Perk as ground loot more frequently to repair armor. The mode’s custom-built loot table includes rare Redacted Weapons that pack a more significant punch than regular loadout guns.

The cost of loadouts will be much higher at the beginning of the match and gradually decrease throughout the game. You’ll also need to find resources around the map, so watch your back out there.

Warzone Titanium Trials Endurance rewards

If you want to get yourself some cool rewards then you can try completing eight different challenges in the Titanium Trials Endurance event during Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

Here are all the rewards you can unlock:

  • 2XP Tokens
  • “Titanium Chrome” Weapon Camo
  • One Battle Pass Tier Skip
  • Up to four Terminator 2: Judgment Day-themed Calling Cards
  • Ultra “Liquid Metal” Weapon Camo (after completing all eight challenges)

The Warzone developers also teased a few hidden rewards for those most dedicated to the Titanium Trials. We won’t know for certain what those are until this game mode finally arrives.

FFS, CoD is now just a circus. So many goofy skins. Might as well be Fortnite.
