Vanguard & Warzone Season 3 Reloaded content revealed: Underground Transit System, new Warzone items, more

Vanguard Season 3 Reloaded content

Kim Tae Young Operator

Kim Tae Young Operator Season 3 Reloaded

The final member of Task Force Harpy will hit Vanguard and Warzone on May 25. Her preferred weapon is the new H4 Blixen SMG, so if you’re looking to level up the weapon as fast as possible, you’ll want to fight as Kim Tae Young.

The masked figure has a reputation as a folk hero and keeper of justice. To unlock Kim Tae Young in Season 3 Reloaded, players must purchase her bundle.

H4 Blixen SMG

Vanguard players will get to test out a new SMG when the Season 3 Reloaded content goes live on May 25. The devs explained that the H4 Blixen is the ideal SMG for medium-range gunfights.

It is indeed a slow-firing SMG and the devs even compare it to the Owen Gun. If comparisons turn out to be accurate, the H4 Blixen could be just as lethal in Warzone.

If the H4 Blixen can rival the Owen Gun it could possibly take over the SMG meta, but the devs have warned of its tricky recoil pattern.

New Vanguard map Sphere

Sphere Vanguard map

As teased in the Season 3 update, Vanguard players will receive a brand-new map to enjoy alongside Mayhem. Sphere is an underground weapons lab with multiple floors to discover.

“Operators who best navigate the various ins and outs between the upper and lower environments are likely to gain the upper hand in combat, no matter the mode.”

Warzone Season 3 Reloaded content

Vanguard’s Serpentine Perk coming to Warzone

Following the Classified Arms Reloaded update, Serpentine will be available as a Perk 1 in Warzone Pacific. The Perk is described as follows:

“Sprinting reduces incoming damage from bullets, explosives, and fire by 20%.”

This Perk is made to counter Sniper Rifles from one shot killing players at a considerable distance. If you use the Serpentine Perk and are actively on the move, even a Sniper from long-range can’t take you out before you have time to react.

Thanks to a “snake” indicator, the shooter will know when they hit someone with the Serpentine Perk equipped.

Plus, Serpentine will arrive as ground loot in Season 3 Reloaded. Raven didn’t want players to feel like they had to give up their favorite Perk to use Serpentine. Timmins thinks that players will have the opportunity to grow to love it over time, and might give it a permanent spot in their loadout if they find unexpected success with it.

Underground Transit System in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded

Undergound Transit System Warzone Season 3 Reloaded

Warzone Classified Arms Reloaded will introduce a new way to travel across Caldera. Players will soon be able to travel around the island via an underground mine cart. The method of transportation only takes a few seconds before you arrive at your next destination.

In other words, this new instant way to travel across Caldera can change the way you rotate and plan your victory. There will be 14 access points that players can discover across the map so make sure to get acquainted with the locations.

“Those in the know can use light and audio clues to figure out if an enemy is on the other side, or if the circle collapse will soon engulf the destination. As with most situations, when there is a green light, it means it’s safe. Anything else can mean potential danger, and if the indicator is off with gas going through the vents, then that means you cannot travel to that destination.”

New Warzone items

Gulag Entry Token

The Gulag Entry Token will give players another shot at entering the Gulag.

“If you perish while holding a Gulag Entry Token, you will be sent back to the Gulag rather than needing to be bought back or be eliminated from the game.”

Redeploy Extraction Token

The Redeploy Extraction Token is an item “that grants an automatic redeploy without any need to visit the Gulag or to be bought back at a Buy Station.”

According to the devs, the Redeploy Extraction Token is quite a rare find, so don’t expect to find one every match.

Speed Boost

This item will automatically provide players with a temporary movement buff when picked up. Players who love to finesse enemies with movement should keep an eye out for the Speed Boost.

Radar Jammer

“The Radar Jammer is a Field Upgrade that scrambles the Tac Map of enemy players and prevents Killstreaks for anyone within a short radius.”

It’ll be up to players to find creative uses for this powerful Field Upgrade that could prove vital during the late game.

High Value Loot Zones

It seems Operation Monarch was used to test High Value Loot Zones across Caldera, as the feature will now appear in standard Battle Royale games. These high-risk, high-reward locations are sure to get the blood pumping.

High Value Loot Zones are areas across Caldera that offer rare items and a ton of cash to players who decide to land there. These are designed as high-risk, high-reward areas as they’re likely to be contested by several players.

If you emerge victorious from the early engagements, the high-quality loot should set you up for success until the endgame. Players looking to utilize their Custom Loadouts as soon as possible will want to explore High Value Loot Zones.

Speaking with CharlieIntel, Senior Creative Director Ted Timmins explained that the team noticed a “real tendency to just keep dropping in the same location,” and these new High Value Loot Zones will encourage players to drop into new areas they may not have visited.

“Now that we’ve got Redeploy Ballons, maybe you’ll rotate to one mid-game because you know there’s going to be more loot there, refreshing over time,” Timmins stated. “Equally, one of the things we hear a lot is players coming back from the Gulag feel like there’s not many places they can land and re-equip themselves.”

Where to find High Value Loot Zones in Warzone?

When players are launching into a match and look at their map, they will see that certain POIs have a dollar sign beside them, indicating that they are a High Value Loot Zone.

These areas will have high-tier loot and plenty of cash for competitors to use to buy Loadouts or Streaks.

During the wide-ranging interview with Timmins, the Senior Creative Director confirmed that the High Value Loot Zones would appear first as part of Operation Monarch and perhaps later on in Season 3. We now know that they’ll be making their way to Battle Royale playlists following the Season 3 Reloaded update.

Champion of Caldera LTM

Champion of Caldera will act as an LTM for Solo players. The Champion of Caldera LTM will be available on May 25 and will feature 150 player lobbies.

As the name would suggest, the goal is quite simple: claim the Champion of Caldera title as your own. Luckily, players will start the match with their Custom Loadout, a Gas Mask, and a single Redeploy Extraction Token.

If you’re looking for a high-octane and fast-paced Solo playlist then you’ll want to give Champion of Caldera a try.

“Kills in this game mode immediately refill player health, equipment, and ammo, incentivizing would-be Champions to play aggressively and eliminate the competition directly to have the best chance at victory.”

Rebirth Island Occupation Scan In-Game Event

It seems that Rebirth Island players will need to remain on high alert throughout the coming weeks with a new mechanic being introduced that can reveal your position to enemies.

“At some point during standard Rebirth Resurgence matches, Operators may be alerted of an Occupation Scan. At this point, they will need to go prone or else their position will be revealed to every other player on the Tac Map and minimap.”

The Season 3 Reloaded blog also teased a mysterious Rebirth Island event that could arrive sometime throughout Season 3, or perhaps we’ll have to wait until Season 4 for this exciting content.

Does anyone even play this anymore?
