Walking Dead Chat (Spoilers!)

Cough Cough

So glad they started the episode the way they did.

I dunno, I was hoping his return would of been more climatic and interesting. But then he is just there. Didn’t seem a good pay off for them trying to make you think he died. Because of that disappointment I ended up being disappointed with whole episode. I’ll get over it though and be able to fully enjoy next week’s episode which everything been leading to.

I think they hyped it up so they can sneak in his ā€œrealā€ death. The fake death shocks the comic readers. If he dies like he does in the comics now, it is really gonna shock the people that have no clue. Especially after this fiasco.

When I said I am glad they started the episode that way I just meant I am glad they got it out of the way and moved on.

I call BS but whatev… Least we get luceille now.

Does the other kid following Carl gonna put his eye out? Finally?

I was glad the Glenn question was resolved but I was like ā€œokayā€, it could have been more build up.

If Ron ends up using that gun on Carl, I want to see what Rick does to Ron, Gareth style payback?

Rick is going eat Ron’s leg in front of Ron? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Good bye Carl !!! Yea !!!

Carl is the safest character on that show. The plot armor is bulletproof.

Yea Carl isn’t going anywhere. His eye might, but he is safe.

So people that headshot zombies with 100% accuracy can’t take out a dude holding a knife?

Why in the world would they give up their guns to the ā€œWolfā€ dude? Especially after they just survived the attack from them and how the wolves murdered and butchered their own. Giving up those guns was the dumbest thing they could of done.

Also, it was a weak mid season finale. I was hoping for better. It just felt like a regular episode.

Prologue for those that missed it.

I am sort of getting tired of TWD. Its starting to get boring and predictable. Just one sociopath after another, add in a zombie horde and you got each season of TWD.

just kill everyone already. we all know this is whats going to happen anyway. eventually everyone dies.

That prologue was more entertaining than the episode.

They seem more concerned with dragging shit out to screw with the fans who have read the comics than they are telling a cohesive story. Let’s face it - they could have done all of the character building and told this half’s story in 4 or fewer episodes instead of the 8 they used to drag this story out. The story is suffering from bloat, and I’m not sure the second half will be any different. We haven’t seen Jesus yet - even though he’s been cast, and we need to meet him and the settlement he’s from before we ever see Negan. I’m betting we don’t see him or Lucille until the season finale.

Oh, and if either of Jesse’s kids live past the first episode back, I’m going to be pissed. Talk about two of the shittiest written characters that series has ever seen…

I don’t disagree with anything any of you have said the past few post. That being said it is still better than half the other shit on tv, IMO. Hell I only watch TWD and GOT and soon Preacher.

The first 2 episodes were awesome, started with a bang. I was fine with it slowing things down a bit for character development and build up.

but the last two episodes gave me a total different feel then the first two, total disappointment. The way we learned Glenn was for sure alive made that whole thing seem pointless, not artistic or story driven. And there was some building up going on in that episode. And I felt last nights was just more building up.

It’s not a season finale, but I guess the show has gotten us expecting more from the mid-season break off. When you think about it there were lot of things happening it would be hard to fully resolve in the mid-season finale.

So hopefully things can get resolved through the rest of the season so we have a good focused season finale. Sadly it feels the season finales are just set ups for start of next season.

I dunno, I want the show to be good but it feels like they are starting to get sloppy and maybe need to rework the show formula.

My predications were Dianna and Sam would die this episode. I was right about one and well if Sam don’t die crying to momma like an artard he is getting it too.

With a show that depends on shock and surprise for part of its appeal and you guessing right who is going to die, that is not good for the show.

The season so far this year has only been a day or two and I think they dragged that on too long. We have had half a season with the main group separated.

Showrunner answers some questions.

Walking Dead Questions Answered

What I have pulled from the first half of this season is that Sam needs to die, he’s creepy yo. ā€œMom, Momā€ I would have let go of his hand right there in the middle of all those zombies like ā€œI don’t know you.ā€
