With Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War getting some major new content in Season 4, such as the exciting Ground Fall even, it seems players can also expect a major change to level progression.
As Season 3 comes to an end, for those who weren’t able to get to max level, you may be excited to hear a new Season 4 change which will ultimately make it easier for players to level up when they play.
The Seasonal model has been a huge part of Call of Duty Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, allowing players to reach extremely high levels and earn new rewards.
Players can level their characters all of the way to 1,000, which provides a great deal of replayability, as players strive to reach max level every new season.
However, the community has had feedback regarding the level progression over the past three seasons, with many believing it to be too slow and hard for them to level up, as it takes a great deal of XP to do so.
This feedback from the community has led Treyarch and Raven Software to reveal a major change to how progression will work when it comes to season levels when Season 4 launches for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
Warzone & Cold War Season 4 level progression change
The thing that is changing in Season 4 is how level progression works compared to past seasons during the Cold War cycle.
In Season 4, the developers have decided to reduce the amount of XP needed to progress through season levels in Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, and even Modern Warfare, according to the Black Ops Cold War Season 4 update patch notes.
This is great for those casual players who were not able to put in the crazy hours needed to reach the max level in past seasons and will be able to reap the benefits of their leveling efforts much faster than before.
