I bought the recharger system for Xbox One expecting to able to not only have to controllers on hand , ready to play but also be able to swap out one controller for the other when the battery got low but ; sadly this is not the case . When I play a video game , I try to swap controls and when I do , the game tells me to reconnect controller , which can not be done without having to hard boot the whole system . Now if I am watching Netflix or using another APP . swapping controllers will work every time . Any ideas on why this happens or any knowledge on how to do this while play a game ?
I have to swap the batteries instead of the controllers. It’s something with the XB1 that’s keeping you from swapping controllers easily.
If you have one controller assigned to and you try to use the other one it thinks another person picked it up. Happens all the time to me in Minecraft.
I think it is also app / game dependant on how they are utilizing that feature.
One would think if you turned off the first controller and powered up the fresh controller , that there would be a connection made . Works on eveyrthing but playing a video game /
