I mentioned the updated Turtle Beach Chat updater to Dixon the other day and figure I’d share it with the group. One of the key features is Mic Monitoring. Now you’ll be able to hear yourself talking. I get in trouble for shouting in the mic all the time and this should help.

Turtle Beach has a new Chat adapter for the XBox one.

Total Control Chat
The Ear Force Headset Audio Controller Plus also features game and chat volume mix, master volume and mic mute controls.
Also, there is a new ChatPad accessory. I had one of these things for the 360 but never really used it.

Mic monitoring would be nice. Easier to use the Smart glass app than the chat pad though.
I think that Chatpad also kills the connection to a headset. (unless you have a completely wireless headset).
I went ahead and ordered the TB Chat adapter. Might as well as the one I have now is impossible to remove.
the astros dont have mic-monitor?
They do but its not really that loud while in game.
i dont find my TBs mic monitoring to be that loud either…
Yes, it will. It’s a good way to add mic monitoring to any headset.
It’s weird because the headset’s mic monitoring is really loud when not in game. They must really lower it once it connects to the XBox. I’ll never understand why that’s not adjustable.
Also, I need a new chat adapter. Like I said before, the Astro one is so incredibly hard to remove from the controller. I’m afraid I’m going to break something.
I bought the TB chat adapter. I wasn’t crazy about the one that came with my astros as it was almost impossible to remove.
While the Astros have mic monitoring built in already, I think these help increase the volume. Plus it has the added surround sound modes. It’s ok. If you’re in the need of a chat adapter, this is the way to go.
Just a bump to this thread. The Polk 4Shot users may want to look into this chat adapter as their current set up creates an echo in party chats. I’m not sure wtf is going on with the polks, it’s really odd.

@Azalin4savioR This is the chat adapter I was telling you about. Has built in Mic Monitoring and a few other nice options. I still use it on my Elite controller (which doesn’t require a chat adapter).

Chatpad isn’t really necessary now if you get the Xbox app on your phone. You can use that to type and send messages over live. You can even send in game messages in games that offer that.
I am not getting the chat pad and am rarely on the Xbox but I hate using the smart glass app.
I use the smart glass app all the time. To add new grg to my friends list, add them to the GRG Group. I also use it to view all the messages all my friends send me. I’m so very popular. Then it’s great for ESO when I need to LFG a group for ESO when I’m in PvP.
Yeah, , I just use smartglass on my tablet if I need to type on the xbox
I just yell at my Kinect and blame Lala for it not understanding me.
I have not hooked up the kinect to the XBox slim yet. I need to get the adapter to connect it. I’m not even sure it works as my old broken xbox stopped recognizing it.
I had one of those for 360. While nice I ended up taking it off when not in use. It adds weight and the keys are tiny.
