I know this game is technically B2P, but they are making it almost impossible to enjoy or compete in any of the end game content without the membership. I’m also still a little butt hurt that the next DLC is dungeons only after basically buying the game a second time for Morrowind which will greatly sentimental was just a glorified (and overpriced) DLC.

I have to agree. I’ve found myself playing other titles since the Morrowind expansion dropped. Im actually going to let my ESO Plus membership expire this week instead of renewing. Between the loading screens and lack of real content outside of the membership, I’ve lost interest.

Lately I have just been spending time in Cyrodiil. It’s my favorite part of the game. Not surprisingly based off the thousands of hours I put into WvWvW in Guild Wars 2.
I would like to finish out Morrowind on my Warden at least. I’m about halfway done. I’d also like to get into Trials and even some Battlegrounds but that would require me to max out my CP and gear up a bit on my level 50 toons.
Trials were fun. I did three, but finding a group large enough that can cooperate and communicate is tough. I’ve quit quite a few.
Cyrodiil is fun. I like sieging a lot.
I’ve managed to hook up with a few “adult” groups that play kind of serious for Cyrodiil. We get shit done and wreck fools.
That’s what I’ve been doing in Overwatch Competitive. People working together. Properly. I’ve noticed a massive drop in GRG playing ESO. Apex is probably the only consistent guy on there daily. Everyone else has moved on to other games except Tuesday’s.
Most people don’t have the attention span for MMOs.
I still enjoy ESO, PvP and PvE. I’ll continue to play on GRG off nights (at least until Destiny ships). It relaxes the Grumpkin.

I liked playing in small groups on low pop servers in Cyrodill, which the Morrowind update ruined. It’s almost impossible not to get sucked into the zerg anymore.
That under 50 Campaign (Kyne) is nuts. People pushing hard for Emperor. We did an Emperor push about a week ago. All 3 factions zerged hard.
They are all like that now. They removed 2 or 3 campaigns from the game, and changed how some of them are scored. I understand going to non-champ campaigns reduced the lag, but that’s just saying “Hey, our end game content screws up the end game”, and the new “balancing” issues do the same. They punish people who have been their most loyal players. I would have rather seen them strip down the AoE animations from the sorcs.
BTW although I liked the idea behind One Tamreil, nothing says our story sucks like telling people that it’s not important to the game.
Yes, I have opinions. As a long time Elder Scrolls player and a dabbler in MMOs I am mildly disappointed in this game, and I don’t like the direction it appears to be headed.

It’s gone from my main game, to the backburner for Tuesday night’s. I’ll keep playing and hoping they fix some of the issues. Especially the group dungeon boss glitches and trial dashboard errors. Seems games now just pile more content on top of a game instead of fixing major bugs.

Me too. I want to love this game. It has the history and it’s beautiful and the mechanics are good. I want it to be like WoW were people are playing it for a decade, but I don’t see it happening. So I will log on this week and get my free shit and play on Tuesday with my low level toon and hope that something changes.
We’ll see how many show up. It’s the 4th and attendance is low. So far there are 4 of us. So I’m thinking we may run Pledges if we have the proper toons.
My highest is only 32.
Has anyone been on today? Reddit and the official ESO forums have been exploding with lag reports. Apparently it’s been unplayable. No maintenance scheduled until tomorrow and they haven’t acknowledged the issue.

Looks like the maintenance didn’t solve the issue. We’ll have to keep an eye on it and try to run PvP and dungeons soon anyway.
Fyi the ESO Plus Trial is now free in the Crown Store. Check out some DLC while you can (doesn’t include Morrowind)
