Just got to the Coral Highlands. Damn this game is pretty.
Rurikhan on YouTube is producing some very informative videos on weapons. Here is his video on Sword and Shield:
Ok can someone explain the login bonuses. I get these commemorative gifts that say can only be claimed once and up until a certain date. How do I claim them? Are they just automatically given to you?
I just got mine yesterday. It came with the daily login bonus.
Also, should you just check all investigations when in manage investigations?
I only look at investigations if Iām farming a particular monster. The rewards are better than going on an expedition and the monster is guaranteed to ne there. You need to pay attention to the requirements. Sometimes the hunt time is shorter sometimes its a capture or the party size is smaller.
Short answer, yes look at all of them but only befote going on investigations because you have to activate it before you can do it.
Nope nope nope!
@Nanookbjorn @fearlessfreep88 thanks for helping me hunt the Anajath last night.
Someone explain to me how you understand what type of armor to wear against a particular monster. Is there anywhere that tells you what type of elemental damage they do? Some are obvious (Eg Anaj) but others not so much. Thanks!
I donāt actually know the answer but would imagine it is in the journal where you gain research on each monster back at the base.
Iāve been thinking that is what theyāre weak against and therefore what type of weapon to bring, no?
No clue, just throwing it out there.
Armor made from the animal is a good place to start. Not helpful when you have not hunted the monster yet. I havenāt found anything listed in the game that explains what armor to wear against which monster. Sometimes wearing a set that is resistant to the same thing the monster is resistant too works. However Paolumu is resistant to water but does wind and slam attacks. Sometimes wearing the armor of the previously hunted monster works well. In the example of the Paolumu, wearing the armor made from Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is okay. The Tzitzi armor will help you flash stun and give you a little resistance to being stunned. I think it comes down to grinding out trial and error attempts. Wish I could be more helpful.
what platform are you playng MH:W?..it would be nice to know so that i people can get most out of it with grg players
I think thereās at least 8 on XBL (@anon3687162, @D1G1TALC1PHERS, @Nanookbjorn, @Grex, @brokain @Gatsu, @EnyoBellona, @BalekFekete )
ā¦ and 2 on PS4 (@TNTx86, @TwistedGunsmith) right now.
Though 3 others said they might buy for PS4 (@hideouschud, @Partho23 and @anon36214017).
Not sure if any intend to buy on PC.
A small patch has been uploaded for Monster Hunter: World. The patch, labeled 1.0.0.10 for Xbox One, fixed some small items and clarifies some solutions for those who are having multiplayer problems on the Xbox One version of the game.
5 Million Celebration Item Pack
- Fixed an issue where some players could not claim the item pack ā5 Million Celebration Item Packā. The availability for this item pack has been extended to February 22, 23:59 (UTC).
Decorations
- Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, decorations would be lost.
- Fixed an issue that occurred when selecting items with the āSell Itemsā option (from the item box inside base camp tents) by hiding the decorations tab.
General Light Bowgun and Heavy Bowgun ammo changes
- Increased the power of Normal Ammo (1, 2, 3), Pierce Ammo (1, 2, 3), and all elemental ammo (except Dragon Ammo).
- Decreased the power of Slicing Ammo, and reduced the effect it has when hitting other players.
- Reduced the maximum number of Slashberries you can hold in your item pouch from 60 to 30. Players can still use any remaining extra Slashberries if they currently have more than 30 in their item pouch.
Elderseal
- Readjusted the Elderseal calculation for dragon pods.
Endemic Life
- Fixed an issue where information on endemic life would disappear from the Wildlife Map when moving about the field.
Quests
- Fixed an issue where the assignment āFlying Sparks: Tobi-Kadachiā would not appear on the quest board after departing on a different quest in the middle of speaking with the Chief Botanist just before the quest is first assigned.
- Fixed a rare bug that would cause players to lose control of their characters when completing a quest with certain start menu sub-menus open.
Lastly, multiplayer on the Xbox One has had some problems. The developer is in the midst of solving these issues and gave the following statement.
The Monster Hunter: World patch is now live.
I think we are at 12 or 13 members now.
