Definitely picking it up at launch. Maybe we could consider adding a Sea of Thieves Game Channel or Voice Room to discord @Lala_Calamari?

Super excited that there is cross-platform play. Looking forward to setting sail with some of the console-only folks I havenā€™t had a chance to meet.

Definitely a good idea. PC to Xbox party chat is problematic and a game channel would keep us filthy pirates from clogging up the general channel.

Considering the voice channels are rarely used, just use the Random Game channel for now.

Passing on it, at least for launch. Iā€™m concerned on the staying power/content of the game on release, and been burned before. I will thoā€™ keep ears open and if it sounds like itā€™s getting good reception once itā€™s out, then might jump in at that point.

You could always do GamePass for a month and see if it is something you would like and at least get to play with people while it is the new hot shit. I think that is what I am going to do because I doubt I play it much more than a month or two.

Iā€™m going to trial the Game Pass and see. I canceled my pre-order in fear that this isnā€™t a game for me. Game Pass trial will give me 14 days to try it out.

This is a dumb question, but Iā€™ve never used the windows store before, how do you set up a username for your games? I downloaded SoT last night and plan on sailing the high seas this week. Do you create a username in SoT itself? Also, how do you add Xbox users to your friends list? #confusedPCMasterRace

You are going to need the Xbox app for Win10 which you should have unless you deleted it. You will need to create a xbox live account. You add people in the app. You also can start/join your voice chat parties in the app so you can have both Xbox and PC players in the same chat.
